December 3-4, 2022 Fundacja czAR (T) Krzywogońca invites you to unique workshops and competitions for children “Christmas tree traditions”
The aim of the workshop is to return to the roots in preparing decorations for Christmas. We want to remind children – and maybe their parents as well – how to decorate a Christmas tree with natural, hand-made decorations.
“Christmas tree traditions” are two workshops for children aged 8-10.
The event will take place in Krzywogoniec in the building of Galeria Sztuki Krzywogoniec 53.
On Saturday, December 3, from 10 am to 12 pm, there will be a workshop entitled “Christmas tree decorations from the gifts of the forest and fields”. Under the guidance of a talented artist Beata Walenty, children will prepare Christmas decorations based on cones, moss, pasta and decorative accessories. All materials will be provided by the Foundation. Children will hang the prepared decorations on the Christmas tree and display them appropriately for the competition.
Also on Saturday, December 3, from 3 pm to 5 pm, there will be “Baking and decorating gingerbread cookies”. Under the direction of Stanisława Iwicka, a member of the Association of Rural Housewives’ Association of the Cekcyn commune, children will prepare Christmas decorations based on homemade gingerbreads and decorative accessories. All materials will be provided by the Foundation. Children will hang the prepared decorations on the Christmas tree and display them appropriately for the competition.
Finally, on Sunday, December 4 between 4 and 6 pm, during a joint feast with parents, we will know the winners of the competitions. The Foundation provides two main prizes and numerous awards. During the feast, at Christmas carols, parents with children will sit at the tables and have gingerbread, after which the competition will be adjudicated and the prizes will be awarded.
