Mika Garbarczyk – is graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska’s University in Krakow and the Faculty of Cinematography, (Photography) at the Film School in Łódź. Currently she is a student at the Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Film School in Katowice (film, television and photographys).
For the past years, she has been working with the best Polish cinematographers and under their supervision she has gained experience on the sets: feature films, documentaries, series and television projects. She is currently working on the script for his debut. Her targets are screenwriter, and also a director.
During her stay, she will develop a full-length film script, her debut. The story of a woman caught up and innocently convicted of fraud committed by her most trusted person. The most important axis of events is an attempt to regain contact with loved ones and rebuild the relationship between mother and daughter. A story showing complex family relationships, the hardships of motherhood, adolescence, and the fight for justice and good name. The background of the story is Gdańsk in the 1990s. Systemic and moral changes, and widespread ostracism, were complicated for the protagonist. Krzywogoniec is an ideal place for this creative work, also deep work on internal integrity.
