- The organizer of the Residency Program Competition is the czAR(t) Krzywogońca Foundation with its registered office in Krzywogoniec, Krzywogoniec 53, 89-511 Cekcyn, entered into the register under KRS number 0000700931; hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”.
- The subject of the Literary Residency Competition is a residential stay at the Foundation’s headquarters, hereinafter referred to as the “Competition”. The maximum length of stay is two weeks in August 2024. The competition is addressed to writers and aims to create working conditions that will enable the implementation of a project in the field of literature (poetry, prose, drama, essay, translation, research thesis, critical work).
- An adult person may take part in the Competition.
- The deadline for submitting applications is April 30, 2024.
- The winner of the Literary Residency Program Competition will be announced by May 31, 2024 on the Foundation’s website www.cz-art.org.
- Application may be submitted in Polish, French or English. Application for the Competition should be sent by e-mail to: czartkrzywogonca@gmail.com with the subject “Literary Residences”.
- The application for the Competition should include:
1) CV: name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, address, preferred date of residency; 2) description of the project that will be implemented (description no more than 1 A4 page);
- By submitting an application to the Competition, the participant declares that he has read these Regulations and accepts their content.
- The Jury appointed by the Foundation will select 1 winner from among the submitted entries to the Competition. There is no appeal against the decision of the Competition Jury.
- The prize in the Competition is a stay in the Foundation’s residence with access to the media, and the amount of PLN 500 net for the winner – Resident. The Foundation does not cover other expenses related to the laureate’s residential stay.
- The exact date of the residency will be agreed with the individual winner.
- The Winner – Resident will be obliged to accept the regulations for using the Foundation’s headquarters before starting their residential stay.
- In the event of force majeure, the Foundation’s Management Board may decide to suspend or cancel the Competition. Cases of force majeure will include, in particular, cases caused by the impact of forces of nature (flood, earthquakes, lightning, etc.), as well as strikes, riots, hostilities, epidemics, pandemics, decisions of state authorities, including those related to the SARS virus epidemic. -CoV-2 or actions of third parties for which the Foundation is not responsible and which it could not prevent while exercising the utmost care.
- In matters not regulated by these Regulations, applicable legal provisions of the of the Civil Code shall apply.
Rules and regulations of the czAR(T) Krzywogońca foundation Guesthouse
- The owner of czAR(T) Krzywogońca foundation Guesthouse – Grażyna Wojcieszko is henceforth referred to as ‘czAR(T) Krzywogońca’ or ‘the Owner’, and the guest at czAR(T) Krzywogońca as ‘the Resident .
- By staying at czAR(T) Krzywogońca the Resident agrees to the terms and conditions stated in this document without any reservations.
- A day of stay begins at 14.00 on the day of arrival and ends at 11.00 on the day of departure.
- In order to identify and verify the information provided, the Resident is obliged to present photographic proof of identity.
- When handing over the keys,the person introducing to the property provides instructions on how to use czAR(T) Krzywogońca and familiarises with the technical and quantitative state of czAR(T) Krzywogońca and its equipment. The absence of comments or objections related to the technical condition of czAR(T) Krzywogońca when moving in is simultaneous with czAR(T) Krzywogońca being handed over in a condition that raises no points or objections in the Resident.
- At czAR(T) Krzywogońca: (1) smoking indoors is completely prohibited and (2) recycling in accord with descriptions on the containers is mandatory.
- The Resident is liable for any damage made to the equipment of czAR(T) Krzywogońca and czAR(T) Krzywogońca itself. The Rezydent is obliged to inform the Owner about any damage they have caused and is responsible for covering its costs by the time of their final day of stay.
- czAR(T) Krzywogońca has the right to refuse further provision of services to the Resident who violates the Regulations or disrupts the principles of neighbourly coexistence, including behaving noisily and aggressively under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- In matters unregulated by these Rules and Regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code on occasional lease apply.
- The Rules and Regulations apply from 01.05.2024.
