Urszula Morga – poet and author of books for young readers. Winner of the 15th National Janusz Różewicz Poetry Competition. In 2024, she debuted with the poetry collection “Fundamenty” (Municipal Cultural Center in Radomsko), for which she received the Galion Gdyński Award in the “Artistic Debut” category in 2025, a nomination for the Pomeranian Artistic Award, and a nomination for the Pomeranian Literary Award “Wind from the Sea” in the “Literary Book of the Year” category. In 2026, her second book of poetry, “Windy Life,” will be published by the J. Conrad Provincial and Municipal Public Library in Gdańsk. She is the author of two books for young readers: “Panda Bonia” and “O rzecze, żeszukała morza.” Her poems have been published in magazines such as PISMO, Suburbia, and Presto, the social aperiodic SILNE, and Wysokie Obcasy. Her poetry series “Heat/Cold” was published in a special issue of the University of Gdańsk journal “Tutoring Gedanensis,” devoted to heat thinking in the Symbiocene era. In 2025, she was a laureate of the 8th Aleksander Klimiuk Poetry Competition and received honorable mentions in the 29th International Poetry Competition “O Złote Cigaro Wilhelma” (For Wilhelm’s Golden Cigar), the 10th National Poetry Competition. She is a laureate of the Zygmunt Krukowski Poetry Competition and the 29th Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska National Poetry Competition. She received a scholarship from the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Her video observation series, “Scraps of Nature” and “Warm/Cold,” were presented at Versopolis Poetry Expo 2025. She also participated in the project “Widths. How Can You Hear Me?”, in which poets read their poems via CB Radio.
