The czAR(T) Krzywogońca Foundation invites you to a unique event combining poetry and Slavic tradition. On June 25, 2022, the village of Krzywogoniec in Bory Tucholskie hosts the fifth edition of the “Forest Bees Poetry Festival” with the celebration of Midsummer . The event will take place at two locations in Krzywogoniec: in the afternoon in the art gallery building Krzywogoniec 53 and in the evening at the amphitheater at the lake Krzywogoniec. These pitches are a 15 minute walk away.

In the afternoon, the Poetry Festival “Forest Bees” will take place at the Krzywogoniec Gallery. Beata Anna Symołon, a well-known hostess of Krakow’s literary salons, will talk about her fascination with nature in poetry. Marcin Kostrzyńsk and Piotr Kasprzyk, popular journalist and forestry inspector from Trzebcin, will take us through the atmosphere of the event. For the duration of the event, you can admire the sculptures of the artist from Kęsów – Roman Ziemey. The prizes he awarded – statuettes of bees – will fly to the winners of the final of the 5th national poetry competition “The Golden Bee”. Finally, so that the guests do not lack strength, the Cercle des Ménagères Rurales of the municipality of Cekcyn invites you to its table for refreshments and regional dishes.

Midsummer evening by the lake in Krzywogoniec

The amphitheater of the lake will host the finals of two national competitions referring to the tradition of the Midsummer Night: the poetry competition of a poem “Water and fire” and the competition “For the most beautiful crown” . You can register for competitions until the last minute, you just have to show up at the amphitheater. And finally, we will light a fire and listen to poetry sung by Remiza – Remi Juśkiewicz and Krzysztof Kosiński. Throughout the evening you can buy local products/dishes prepared by the Cercle des Ménagères Rurales of the municipality of Cekcyn and buy drinks in a portable shop.
